Indira Mohbeer, Clinical Intern

“Homo sum humani nihil a me alienum puto.”

“I am human, therefore, nothing human is alien to me.”      ~Terence

Born in Washington DC and primarily raised in New York City, AnnodRight’s newest intern Indira [in-dee-rah] is a true “East-coaster.” She is a first-gen (North) American of South American/West-Indian immigrant parents (Guyana and Jamaica) and is a child of divorce. From a young age, Indira has maintained a keen sensitivity to the struggles of people and continues to pull on her nuanced life experiences to better relate to her clients. Indira was a pre-law honors student as an undergraduate at American University (DC) and graduated during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. That same year, she enrolled as a part-time graduate student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (DC) and remains top of her master’s degree program in Counseling Psychology. This Fall and upcoming Spring, Indira will be conducting her practicum and internship with the AnnodRight team.

For the past 3 1/2 years, Indira has worked hard to sharpen her therapeutic and interpersonal skills. Throughout her practice here, she hopes to create an environment, where her clients can feel seen, safe, and heard. She also aims help her clients better identify and solve life’s intimate problems, while cheerleading them on as they achieve their goals!
